Mozilla Firefox before 44.0.2 does not properly restrict the interaction between Service Workers and plugins, which allows remote attackers to bypass the Same Origin Policy via a crafted web site that triggers spoofed responses to requests that use NPAPI, as demonstrated by a request for a crossdomain.xml file.
The weakness was shared 02/13/2016 as Bug 1245724 as not defined bug report (Bugzilla). It is possible to read the advisory at bugzilla.mozilla.org. The identification of this vulnerability is CVE-2016-1949 since 01/19/2016. The attack may be initiated remotely. No form of authentication is needed for a successful exploitation.
