The weakness was published 03/26/2013 by Subho Halder, Aditya Gupta and Dev Kar with XYSec as not defined changelog entry (Website). The advisory is shared for download at googlechromereleases.blogspot.ch. The public release has been coordinated with the vendor. This vulnerability is traded as CVE-2013-0926 since 01/07/2013. It is possible to launch the attack remotely. The exploitation doesn't require any form of authentication. Technical details are unknown but a public exploit is available.

Upgrading to version 26.0.1410.43 eliminates this vulnerability. The upgrade is hosted for download at chrome.google.com. Applying a patch is able to eliminate this problem. The bugfix is ready for download at git.chromium.org. The best possible mitigation is suggested to be upgrading to the latest version.
