Mozilla Firefox before 20.0 and SeaMonkey before 2.17 do not prevent origin spoofing of tab-modal dialogs, which allows remote attackers to conduct phishing attacks via a crafted web site.
The weakness was released 04/02/2013 by Christian Holler (shutdown) with Dell as Bug 626775 as not defined changelog entry (Website). The advisory is available at bugzilla.mozilla.org. The public release was coordinated with the vendor. This vulnerability was named CVE-2013-0794 since 01/02/2013. The attack can be initiated remotely. No form of authentication is required for a successful exploitation. The technical details are unknown and an exploit is not available.
