The weakness was published 04/09/2013 with Microsoft as MS13-030 as confirmed bulletin (Microsoft Technet). The advisory is shared for download at technet.microsoft.com. The public release has been coordinated with the vendor. This vulnerability was named CVE-2013-1290 since 01/12/2013. The exploitation appears to be easy. The attack can be initiated remotely. A single authentication is necessary for exploitation. Technical details are unknown but a private exploit is available. The MITRE ATT&CK project declares the attack technique as T1068.

It is declared as proof-of-concept.
