A vulnerability classified as critical was found in Apache JetSpeed up to 2.3.0. This vulnerability affects an unknown code of the component Portal Site Manager. The manipulation with the input value ../../webapps/x.jsp leads to a path traversal vulnerability. The CWE definition for the vulnerability is CWE-22. The product uses external input to construct a pathname that is intended to identify a file or directory that is located underneath a restricted parent directory, but the product does not properly neutralize special elements within the pathname that can cause the pathname to resolve to a location that is outside of the restricted directory. Directory traversal vulnerability in the Import/Export function in the Portal Site Manager in Apache Jetspeed before 2.3.1 allows remote authenticated administrators to write to arbitrary files, and consequently execute arbitrary code, via a .. (dot dot) in a ZIP archive entry, as demonstrated by "../../webapps/x.jsp."
