The bug was discovered 04/21/2016. The weakness was published 04/21/2016 by Nike Zheng (Genxor) as S2-032 (Website). The advisory is available at struts.apache.org. This vulnerability is handled as CVE-2016-3081 since 03/10/2016. The exploitation is known to be difficult. The attack may be launched remotely.
