A vulnerability was found in runCMS (Content Management System) (version now known) and classified as critical. This issue affects some unknown processing of the file /class/xoopsuser.php. The manipulation with an unknown input leads to a sql injection vulnerability. Using CWE to declare the problem leads to CWE-89. The product constructs all or part of an SQL command using externally-influenced input from an upstream component, but it does not neutralize or incorrectly neutralizes special elements that could modify the intended SQL command when it is sent to a downstream component. Multiple SQL injection vulnerabilities in RunCMS 1.4.1 allow remote attackers to execute arbitrary SQL commands via the (1) uid parameter in (a) class/sessions.class.php, and the (2) timezone_offset and (3) umode parameters in (b) class/xoopsuser.php.
The weakness was disclosed 09/07/2006 by omid (Website). It is possible to read the advisory at hackers.ir. The identification of this vulnerability is CVE-2006-4667. The exploitation is known to be easy. The attack may be initiated remotely. No form of authentication is needed for a successful exploitation. Technical details as well as a exploit are known.
