A vulnerability classified as critical has been found in The Address Book (the affected version is unknown). Affected is an unknown code of the file save.php. The manipulation of the argument groupAddName with an unknown input leads to a sql injection vulnerability. CWE is classifying the issue as CWE-89. The product constructs all or part of an SQL command using externally-influenced input from an upstream component, but it does not neutralize or incorrectly neutralizes special elements that could modify the intended SQL command when it is sent to a downstream component. This is going to have an impact on confidentiality, integrity, and availability.
The weakness was presented 01/03/2007 with Secunia Research (Website). The advisory is shared for download at secunia.com. This vulnerability is traded as CVE-2006-4575 since 09/06/2006. The exploitability is told to be easy. It is possible to launch the attack remotely. The exploitation doesn't require any form of authentication.
