A vulnerability classified as problematic was found in F5 FirePass (affected version not known). Affected by this vulnerability is some unknown functionality of the file vdesk/admincon/index.php. The manipulation of the argument ua with an unknown input leads to a cross site scripting vulnerability. The CWE definition for the vulnerability is CWE-80. The product receives input from an upstream component, but it does not neutralize or incorrectly neutralizes special characters such as "<", ">", and "&" that could be interpreted as web-scripting elements when they are sent to a downstream component that processes web pages. As an impact it is known to affect integrity.
The weakness was disclosed 01/05/2007 by Michael Ligh and Greg Sinclair with mnin.org (Website). It is possible to read the advisory at mnin.org. The attack can be launched remotely. It demands that the victim is doing some kind of user interaction. Technical details of the vulnerability are known, but there is no available exploit. The attack technique deployed by this issue is T1059.007 according to MITRE ATT&CK.
