Cross-site scripting (XSS) vulnerability in the Web Client in VMware vCenter Server 5.1 before update 3d, 5.5 before update 3d, and 6.0 before update 2 on Windows allows remote attackers to inject arbitrary web script or HTML via the flashvars parameter.
The weakness was released 05/24/2016 by John Page (hyp3rlinx) as VMSA-2016-0006 as confirmed advisory (Website). The advisory is available at vmware.com. The public release was coordinated with the vendor. This vulnerability is handled as CVE-2016-2078 since 01/26/2016. The exploitation is known to be easy. The attack may be launched remotely.
