The weakness was released 05/16/2013 by Abhishek Arya (Inferno) with Google Chrome Security Team as HT5766 as confirmed advisory (Website). The advisory is available at support.apple.com. This vulnerability is handled as CVE-2013-0958 since 01/10/2013. The attack may be launched remotely. No form of authentication is required for exploitation. The technical details are unknown and an exploit is not available.

The vulnerability scanner Nessus provides a plugin with the ID 66498 (Apple iTunes < 11.0.3 Multiple Vulnerabilities (credentialed check)), which helps to determine the existence of the flaw in a target environment.
