Use-after-free vulnerability in Google Chrome before 27.0.1453.110 allows remote attackers to cause a denial of service or possibly have unspecified other impact via vectors related to the handling of images.
The weakness was published 06/04/2013 by Sebastien Marchand (miaubiz) with Chromium Development Community as not defined changelog entry (Website). The advisory is shared at googlechromereleases.blogspot.com. The public release has been coordinated with Google. The identification of this vulnerability is CVE-2013-2857 since 04/11/2013. The exploitation is known to be difficult. The attack may be initiated remotely. No form of authentication is needed for a successful exploitation.
