A vulnerability has been found in HP Insight Diagnostics 9.4.0.4710 and classified as critical. Affected by this vulnerability is some unknown functionality of the file pageview.php of the component Perl. hpdiags/frontend2/help/pageview.php in HP Insight Diagnostics 9.4.0.4710 does not properly restrict PHP include or require statements, which allows remote attackers to include arbitrary hpdiags/frontend2/help/ .html files via the path parameter.
The weakness was disclosed 06/10/2013 by Markus Wulftange with Daimler TSS GmbH as VU#324668 - HP Insight Diagnostics 9.4.0.4710 multiple vulnerabilities as not defined advisory (CERT.org). It is possible to read the advisory at kb.cert.org. The vendor was not involved in the public release. This vulnerability is known as CVE-2013-3575 since 05/21/2013. The attack can only be initiated within the local network. A single authentication is required for exploitation. Technical details and also a public exploit are known.
