A vulnerability has been found in IBM QRadar SIEM up to 7.2.6 (Log Management Software) and classified as critical. This vulnerability affects an unknown code block. Multiple cross-site request forgery (CSRF) vulnerabilities in IBM QRadar SIEM 7.1 before MR2 Patch 13 and 7.2 before 7.2.7 allow remote attackers to hijack the authentication of arbitrary users for requests that insert XSS sequences.
The bug was discovered 07/26/2016. The weakness was published 11/30/2016 by ryan with IBM X-Force (Website). The advisory is available at www-01.ibm.com. This vulnerability was named CVE-2016-2878 since 03/09/2016. The attack can be initiated remotely. No form of authentication is required for a successful exploitation. Successful exploitation requires user interaction by the victim. The technical details are unknown and an exploit is not available.
