The Repair Archive command in WinRAR 3.40 allows remote attackers to cause a denial of service (application crash) via a corrupt ZIP archive.

The bug was discovered 11/02/2004. The weakness was released 11/02/2004 by Peter Winter-Smith with NGSSoftware (Website). The advisory is available at nextgenss.com.
