A vulnerability was found in squidGuard up to 1.4 (Firewall Software). It has been rated as problematic. This issue affects some unknown functionality of the file squidGuard.cgi of the component Blocked Site Link Handler. The bug was discovered 06/20/2016. The weakness was shared 02/09/2017 by Marcus Meissner (Website). The advisory is shared at openwall.com. The identification of this vulnerability is CVE-2015-8936 since 06/21/2016. The attack may be initiated remotely. No form of authentication is needed for a successful exploitation. It demands that the victim is doing some kind of user interaction. Technical details are known, but no exploit is available. MITRE ATT&CK project uses the attack technique T1059.007 for this issue.
