A vulnerability was found in WSO2 Carbon 4.4.5. It has been declared as problematic. Affected by this vulnerability is an unknown code of the file server-admin/proxy_ajaxprocessor.jsp. Cross-site request forgery (CSRF) vulnerability in WSO2 Carbon 4.4.5 allows remote attackers to hijack the authentication of privileged users for requests that shutdown a server via a shutdown action to server-admin/proxy_ajaxprocessor.jsp.
The bug was discovered 08/13/2016. The weakness was published 02/17/2017 by John Page (hyp3rlinx) as confirmed posting (Bugtraq). The advisory is shared at securityfocus.com. This vulnerability is known as CVE-2016-4315 since 04/27/2016. The attack can be launched remotely. The exploitation doesn't need any form of authentication.
