A vulnerability, which was classified as critical, has been found in ZZIPlib 0.13.62. Affected by this issue is the function _zzip_get64 of the file fetch.c of the component ZIP Archive Handler. Heap-based buffer overflow in the __zzip_get64 function in fetch.c in zziplib 0.13.62 allows remote attackers to cause a denial of service (crash) via a crafted ZIP file.
The bug was discovered 03/01/2017. The weakness was released 03/01/2017 by Agostino Sarubbo with Gentoo (oss-sec). The advisory is shared for download at openwall.com.
