Format string vulnerability in Dropbear SSH before 2016.74 allows remote attackers to execute arbitrary code via format string specifiers in the (1) username or (2) host argument.
The bug was discovered 09/14/2016. The weakness was shared 03/03/2017 by Matt Johnston (oss-sec). The advisory is shared at openwall.com. This vulnerability is uniquely identified as CVE-2016-7406 since 09/09/2016. The exploitability is told to be easy. It is possible to initiate the attack remotely.
