Race condition in drivers/tty/n_hdlc.c in the Linux kernel through 4.10.1 allows local users to gain privileges or cause a denial of service (double free) by setting the HDLC line discipline.
The bug was discovered 03/02/2017. The weakness was disclosed 03/07/2017 by Alex (oss-sec). The advisory is available at openwall.com. This vulnerability is handled as CVE-2017-2636 since 12/01/2016.
