Details
A vulnerability was found in gdk-pixbuf (affected version unknown). It has been classified as problematic. This affects the function load_resources of the file io-icns.c of the component ICO File Handler. The manipulation with an unknown input leads to a integer underflow vulnerability. CWE is classifying the issue as CWE-191. The product subtracts one value from another, such that the result is less than the minimum allowable integer value, which produces a value that is not equal to the correct result. This is going to have an impact on availability. The summary by CVE is:
Integer underflow in the load_resources function in io-icns.c in gdk-pixbuf allows context-dependent attackers to cause a denial of service (out-of-bounds read and program crash) via a crafted image entry size in an ICO file.
