Memory leak in the vcard_apdu_new function in card_7816.c in libcacard before 2.5.3 allows local guest OS users to cause a denial of service (host memory consumption) via vectors related to allocating a new APDU object.

The bug was discovered 03/01/2017. The weakness was disclosed 03/15/2017 by Li Qiang with 360.cn Inc. (oss-sec). The advisory is available at openwall.com. This vulnerability is handled as CVE-2017-6414 since 03/01/2017. The exploitation is known to be easy. Local access is required to approach this attack.
