A vulnerability was found in Google Chrome 28.0.1500.72 (Web Browser). It has been rated as critical. Use-after-free vulnerability in Google Chrome before 28.0.1500.95 allows remote attackers to cause a denial of service or possibly have unspecified other impact via vectors related to deleting the registration of a MutationObserver object.
The weakness was presented 07/30/2013 by Karthik Bhargavan (Cloudfuzzer) with Google Security Team as 260165 as confirmed changelog entry (Website). The advisory is available at code.google.com. The public release was coordinated in cooperation with the vendor. This vulnerability is handled as CVE-2013-2883 since 04/11/2013. The exploitation is known to be easy.
