A vulnerability, which was classified as critical, has been found in GNU binutils 2.28 (Programming Tool Software). This issue affects some unknown functionality of the component objdump. The manipulation with an unknown input leads to a memory corruption vulnerability. Using CWE to declare the problem leads to CWE-119. objdump in GNU Binutils 2.28 is vulnerable to multiple heap-based buffer over-reads (of size 1 and size 8) while handling corrupt STABS enum type strings in a crafted object file, leading to program crash.
