A vulnerability was found in D-Link DIR-645 up to 1.03b08 (Router Operating System). It has been rated as critical. Affected by this issue is an unknown code block of the file post_login.xml. The manipulation of the argument hash as part of a GET Request leads to a cross site scripting vulnerability. Using CWE to declare the problem leads to CWE-79. The product does not neutralize or incorrectly neutralizes user-controllable input before it is placed in output that is used as a web page that is served to other users. Impacted is confidentiality, integrity, and availability.
The bug was discovered 03/06/2013. The weakness was shared 08/02/2013 by Roberto Paleari as 20130801-dlink-dir645 as not defined advisory (Website). The advisory is available at roberto.greyhats.it. The vendor cooperated in the coordination of the public release. This vulnerability is handled as CVE-2013-7389 since 07/07/2014. The attack may be launched remotely. No form of authentication is required for exploitation. Technical details as well as a public exploit are known. This vulnerability is assigned to T1059.007 by the MITRE ATT&CK project.
