tools/tiffcp.c in libtiff 4.0.6 has an out-of-bounds write on tiled images with odd tile width versus image width. Reported as MSVR 35103, aka "cpStripToTile heap-buffer-overflow."

An out-of-bound read existed in LibTIFF versions before 4.0.7. This was addressed by updating LibTIFF in AKCmds to version 4.0.7.

It is assigned to the family Amazon Linux Local Security Checks and running in the context l. The commercial vulnerability scanner Qualys is able to test this issue with plugin 157373 (Oracle Enterprise Linux Security Update for libtiff (ELSA-2017-0225)).
Upgrading to version 10.12.4 eliminates this vulnerability. A possible mitigation has been published immediately after the disclosure of the vulnerability.
