A vulnerability was found in PHPList 3.2.6 (Mailing List Software). It has been classified as critical. Affected is some unknown processing of the file /lists/admin/ of the component Sending Campain. The manipulation with an unknown input leads to a sql injection vulnerability. CWE is classifying the issue as CWE-89. The product constructs all or part of an SQL command using externally-influenced input from an upstream component, but it does not neutralize or incorrectly neutralizes special elements that could modify the intended SQL command when it is sent to a downstream component. This is going to have an impact on confidentiality, integrity, and availability.
The weakness was released 03/17/2017 by Tim Coen with Curesec Research Team as phplist 3.2.6: SQL Injection as confirmed mailinglist post (Full-Disclosure). The advisory is shared for download at seclists.org. The public release was coordinated with the vendor. This vulnerability is traded as CVE-2017-20030. The exploitability is told to be easy. Upgrading to version 3.3.1 eliminates this vulnerability.
