Revive Adserver before 3.2.5 and 4.0.0 suffers from Reflected File Download. `www/delivery/asyncspc.php` was vulnerable to the fairly new Reflected File Download (RFD) web attack vector that enables attackers to gain complete control over a victim's machine by virtually downloading a file from a trusted domain.
The bug was discovered 09/28/2016. The weakness was disclosed 03/28/2017 (GitHub Repository). The advisory is available at github.com. This vulnerability is traded as CVE-2016-9470 since 11/19/2016. It is possible to launch the attack remotely. The exploitation doesn't require any form of authentication. Technical details are known, but there is no available exploit. This vulnerability is assigned to T1211 by the MITRE ATT&CK project.
