A vulnerability was found in Cisco IOS XR (Router Operating System) (unknown version). It has been classified as problematic. Affected is an unknown code block of the component ICMP Handler. The manipulation of the argument timeout=0 as part of a ICMP Echo Packet leads to a memory corruption vulnerability. CWE is classifying the issue as CWE-119. Cisco IOS XR allows local users to cause a denial of service (Silicon Packet Processor memory corruption, improper mutex handling, and device reload) by starting an outbound flood of large ICMP Echo Request packets and stopping this with a CTRL-C sequence, aka Bug ID CSCui60347.
