A vulnerability classified as problematic was found in PoDoFo 0.9.5 (Document Reader Software). Affected by this vulnerability is the function PoDoFo::PdfPainter::ExpandTabs of the file PdfPainter.cpp. The manipulation as part of a PDF Document leads to a memory corruption vulnerability. The PoDoFo::PdfPainter::ExpandTabs function in PdfPainter.cpp in PoDoFo 0.9.5 allows remote attackers to cause a denial of service (heap-based buffer over-read and application crash) via a crafted PDF document.
The bug was discovered 03/31/2017. The weakness was presented 04/03/2017 by Agostino Sarubbo (Website). The advisory is shared at securityfocus.com.
