The Adobe Type Manager Font Driver (ATMFD.dll) in Microsoft Windows Vista SP2; Windows Server 2008 SP2 and R2 SP1; Windows 7 SP1; Windows 8.1; Windows Server 2012 Gold and R2; Windows RT 8.1; and Windows 10 Gold , 1511, 1607, and 1703 allows an attacker to gain sensitive information via a specially crafted document or an untrusted website, aka "ATMFD.dll Information Disclosure Vulnerability."
The bug was discovered 04/11/2017. The weakness was released 04/11/2017 by Hossein Lotfi with Secunia Research as KB4015217 / KB4015219 / KB4015221 / KB4015380 / KB4015549 / KB4015550 / KB4015551 / KB4015583 / KB4015217 as confirmed knowledge base article (Website). The advisory is shared for download at portal.msrc.microsoft.com. This vulnerability is traded as CVE-2017-0192 since 09/09/2016. It is possible to launch the attack remotely. The exploitation doesn't require any form of authentication. Successful exploitation requires user interaction by the victim. There are known technical details, but no exploit is available. The MITRE ATT&CK project declares the attack technique as T1592.
