A vulnerability has been found in Adobe Flash Player up to 25.0.0.127 (Multimedia Player Software) and classified as critical. Adobe Flash Player versions 25.0.0.127 and earlier have an exploitable memory corruption vulnerability in the SWF parser. Successful exploitation could lead to arbitrary code execution.
The bug was discovered 04/11/2017. The weakness was released 04/12/2017 by Natalie Silvanovich with Google Project Zero (Website). The advisory is available at helpx.adobe.com. This vulnerability was named CVE-2017-3061 since 12/02/2016. The attack can be initiated remotely. No form of authentication is required for a successful exploitation. Successful exploitation requires user interaction by the victim. Technical details are unknown but a public exploit is available.
A public exploit has been developed by Google Security Research in SWF and been published 2 months after the advisory. It is possible to download the exploit at github.com.
