The ReadRLEImage function in coders/rle.c in ImageMagick allows remote attackers to cause a denial of service (out-of-bounds read) via vectors related to the number of pixels.
The bug was discovered 09/29/2016. The weakness was presented 04/19/2017 by Moshe Kaplan (oss-sec). The advisory is shared for download at openwall.com. This vulnerability is traded as CVE-2016-7515 since 09/09/2016. The exploitability is told to be easy. It is possible to launch the attack remotely. The exploitation doesn't require any form of authentication. There are known technical details, but no exploit is available.
