Cross-site scripting (XSS) vulnerability in program/include/rcmail.php in Roundcube Webmail 1.1.x before 1.1.2 allows remote attackers to inject arbitrary web script or HTML via the _mbox parameter to the default URI.

The bug was discovered 07/06/2015. The weakness was published 05/23/2017 (oss-sec). The advisory is available at openwall.com. This vulnerability is handled as CVE-2015-5381 since 07/06/2015. The attack may be launched remotely. No form of authentication is required for exploitation. Successful exploitation requires user interaction by the victim. Technical details are known, but there is no available exploit. This vulnerability is assigned to T1059.007 by the MITRE ATT&CK project.

Upgrading to version 1.1.2 eliminates this vulnerability. A possible mitigation has been published before and not just after the disclosure of the vulnerability.
