The Struts 1 plugin in Apache Struts 2.3.x might allow remote code execution via a malicious field value passed in a raw message to the ActionMessage.
The weakness was released 07/10/2017 (Website). The advisory is shared at struts.apache.org. This vulnerability is uniquely identified as CVE-2017-9791 since 06/21/2017. It is possible to initiate the attack remotely. No form of authentication is needed for exploitation. Technical details are unknown but a public exploit is available.
