The history-clearing feature in Safari in Apple iOS before 7 does not clear the back/forward history of an open tab, which allows physically proximate attackers to obtain sensitive information by leveraging an unattended workstation.
The weakness was shared 09/18/2013 as APPLE-SA-2013-09-18-2 iOS 7 as confirmed mailinglist post (Website). The advisory is shared for download at prod.lists.apple.com. This vulnerability is traded as CVE-2013-5150 since 08/15/2013. It is possible to launch the attack remotely. The exploitation doesn't require any form of authentication.
