The dhcp_decode function in slirp/bootp.c in QEMU (aka Quick Emulator) allows local guest OS users to cause a denial of service (out-of-bounds read and QEMU process crash) via a crafted DHCP options string.
The bug was discovered 07/17/2017. The weakness was disclosed 07/25/2017 by Reno Robert (oss-sec). The advisory is shared for download at openwall.com.
