In ImageMagick 7.0.6-1, a memory leak vulnerability was found in the function ReadPESImage in coders/pes.c, which allows attackers to cause a denial of service, related to ResizeMagickMemory in memory.c.
The bug was discovered 07/08/2017. The weakness was published 08/04/2017 (GitHub Repository). The advisory is available at github.com. This vulnerability was named CVE-2017-12433 since 08/04/2017. The attack can be initiated remotely. No form of authentication is required for a successful exploitation. Successful exploitation requires user interaction by the victim.
