In Wireshark 2.4.0 to 2.4.1 and 2.2.0 to 2.2.9, the BT ATT dissector could crash. This was addressed in epan/dissectors/packet-btatt.c by considering a case where not all of the BTATT packets have the same encapsulation level.

The bug was discovered 10/10/2017. The weakness was shared 10/10/2017 by OSS-Fuzz as Bug 14049 as confirmed bug report (Bugzilla). The advisory is shared at bugs.wireshark.org. This vulnerability is uniquely identified as CVE-2017-15192 since 10/09/2017. The exploitability is told to be easy. It is possible to initiate the attack remotely.
