Knot DNS before 1.5.2 allows remote attackers to cause a denial of service (application crash) via a crafted DNS message.
The bug was discovered 09/23/2014. The weakness was disclosed 03/28/2018 with Knot (Website). The advisory is shared at gitlab.labs.nic.cz. The public release has been coordinated in cooperation with Knot. The identification of this vulnerability is CVE-2014-0486 since 12/19/2013. The exploitation is known to be easy.
