A crafted binder request can cause an arbitrary unmap in MediaServer in all Android releases from CAF (Android for MSM, Firefox OS for MSM, QRD Android) using the Linux Kernel.

The bug was discovered 05/11/2018. The weakness was released 06/06/2018 (Website). The advisory is available at source.android.com. This vulnerability is handled as CVE-2017-18154 since 02/05/2018. The exploitation is known to be easy. Local access is required to approach this attack. No form of authentication is required for exploitation.
