The bug was discovered 05/09/2016. The weakness was published 07/18/2018 by Gustavo Grieco as Oracle Critical Patch Update Advisory - July 2018 as confirmed advisory (Website). The advisory is available at oracle.com. This vulnerability was named CVE-2016-2099 since 01/29/2016. The attack can be initiated remotely. No form of authentication is required for a successful exploitation. The technical details are unknown and an exploit is not available.
