A vulnerability classified as problematic has been found in Apple iCloud up to 7.10 on Windows (Cloud Software). This affects an unknown code block of the component Windows Installer. A race condition existed during the installation of iCloud for Windows. This was addressed with improved state handling. This issue is fixed in iCloud for Windows 7.11. Running the iCloud installer in an untrusted directory may result in arbitrary code execution.
The bug was discovered 03/25/2019. The weakness was disclosed 03/25/2019 by Stefan Kanthak as HT209605 as confirmed advisory (Website). The advisory is shared at support.apple.com. This vulnerability is uniquely identified as CVE-2019-6236 since 01/11/2019. An attack has to be approached locally. The requirement for exploitation is a authentication. Neither technical details nor an exploit are publicly available. The advisory points out:

The commercial vulnerability scanner Qualys is able to test this issue with plugin 371708 (Apple iCloud for Windows Prior to 7.11 Multiple Vulnerabilities(HT209605)).
Upgrading to version 7.11 eliminates this vulnerability. A possible mitigation has been published immediately after the disclosure of the vulnerability.
