The bug was discovered 04/12/2005. The weakness was disclosed 04/12/2005 with Microsoft as MS05-018 as confirmed bulletin (Technet). The advisory is shared at microsoft.com. This vulnerability is known as CVE-2005-0550 since 02/26/2005. Access to the local network is required for this attack to succeed. The exploitation doesn't need any form of authentication.
