A Host Header Redirection vulnerability in Fortinet FortiOS all versions below 6.0.5 under SSL VPN web portal allows a remote attacker to potentially poison HTTP cache and subsequently redirect SSL VPN web portal users to arbitrary web domains.
The weakness was disclosed 05/17/2019 as FG-IR-19-002 as confirmed advisory (Website). The advisory is shared at fortiguard.com. This vulnerability is known as CVE-2018-13384 since 07/06/2018. The exploitation appears to be difficult. The attack can be launched remotely. The exploitation doesn't need any form of authentication. It demands that the victim is doing some kind of user interaction. Neither technical details nor an exploit are publicly available.
