A vulnerability was found in WatchGuard SOHO Firewall 1.6/2.1.3 (Firewall Software) and classified as critical. This issue affects an unknown functionality of the component GET Request Handler. Buffer overflow in HTTP server on the WatchGuard SOHO firewall allows remote attackers to cause a denial of service and possibly execute arbitrary code via a long GET request.
The weakness was disclosed 12/14/2000 by ISS X-Force Research (ERNE) (Website). It is possible to read the advisory at xforce.iss.net. The identification of this vulnerability is CVE-2000-0895. The exploitation is known to be easy. The attack may be initiated remotely. No form of authentication is needed for a successful exploitation. Technical details are unknown but an exploit is available.

Upgrading to version 2.2.1 eliminates this vulnerability.
