Transsoft Broker 5.9.5.0 allows remote attackers to read arbitrary files and directories by uploading a .lnk (link) file that points to the target file.

The weakness was released 07/02/2001 by ByteRage as not defined posting (Bugtraq). The advisory is shared for download at securityfocus.com. This vulnerability is traded as CVE-2001-1042. The exploitability is told to be easy. It is possible to launch the attack remotely. The exploitation doesn't require any form of authentication.
