Unknown vulnerability in Allaire JRun 3.1 allows remote attackers to directly access the WEB-INF and META-INF directories and execute arbitrary JavaServer Pages (JSP), a variant of CVE-2000-1050.

The bug was discovered 12/06/2001. The weakness was released 12/31/2001 with Macromedia (Website). It is possible to read the advisory at macromedia.com. The identification of this vulnerability is CVE-2001-1512 since 07/14/2005. The exploitation is known to be easy. The attack may be initiated remotely. No form of authentication is needed for a successful exploitation. Technical details of the vulnerability are known, but there is no available exploit. The attack technique deployed by this issue is T1068 according to MITRE ATT&CK.
