Directory traversal vulnerability in sendform.cgi 1.44 and earlier allows remote attackers to read arbitrary files by specifying the desired files in the BlurbFilePath parameter.
The bug was discovered 07/22/2002. The weakness was released 07/22/2002 by Steven M. Christey with MITRE as not defined posting (Bugtraq). It is possible to read the advisory at marc.theaimsgroup.com. The identification of this vulnerability is CVE-2002-0710. The exploitation is known to be easy. The attack may be initiated remotely. No form of authentication is needed for a successful exploitation. Technical details of the vulnerability are known, but there is no available exploit.
