A vulnerability has been found in Luis Bernardo MyHelpDesk 2002-05-09 and classified as critical. This vulnerability affects an unknown part of the file index.php. The manipulation of the argument id with an unknown input leads to a sql injection vulnerability. The CWE definition for the vulnerability is CWE-89. The product constructs all or part of an SQL command using externally-influenced input from an upstream component, but it does not neutralize or incorrectly neutralizes special elements that could modify the intended SQL command when it is sent to a downstream component. As an impact it is known to affect confidentiality, and integrity. CVE summarizes:

SQL injection vulnerability in index.php for MyHelpDesk 20020509, and possibly other versions, allows remote attackers to conduct unauthorized activities via SQL code in the "id" parameter for the operations (1) detailticket, (2) editticket, or (3) updateticketlog.

The weakness was presented 10/04/2002 by Ahmet Sabri Alper (Website). The advisory is shared for download at archives.neohapsis.com. This vulnerability was named CVE-2002-0932. The exploitation appears to be easy. The attack can be initiated remotely. No form of authentication is required for a successful exploitation. There are known technical details, but no exploit is available. The MITRE ATT&CK project declares the attack technique as T1505.

By approaching the search of inurl:index.php it is possible to find vulnerable targets with Google Hacking. The commercial vulnerability scanner Qualys is able to test this issue with plugin 10723 (MyHelpDesk SQL Injection Vulnerability).

There is no information about possible countermeasures known. It may be suggested to replace the affected object with an alternative product.
